Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPreplacemyface
Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes & hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a photo announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.
The goal this weekend is to grab a friend, get creative with perspective and replace your face with a face on an object. Some tips to get you started: check out your local record store or go through your books at home to start finding faces you can use on the sleeves and covers, have your subject hold the object closer or nearer to his or her face until things line up just right and be patient—these types of photos require lots of attention to detail.
PROJECT RULES: Please only add the #WHPreplacemyface hashtag to photos taken over this weekend and only submit your own photographs to the project. Any image taken then tagged over the weekend is eligible to be featured right here Monday morning!
Soundboard Sessions: Saint Motel
You’ll have to sort fact from fiction in this interview that is more entertaining than informational. This four person band from Los Angeles is meticulous in their sound and it took them three years before they were satisfied enough with Voyeur to release it as their debut album. Check out the interview to learn why they were kicked out of a coffee shop, why you shouldn’t give out free mattresses on tour, what it’s like to live life with a little dictaphone, and much much more.
It could be a scene from the Disney classic The Fox and the Hound. But these furry characters have become real-life friends after Rosie the fox cub was left abandoned. The 15-week-old fox has now bonded with Maddy at the home of Richard Bowler in the Berwyn mountains near Corwen in North Wales
